For 75 years, the Western New York Foundation has been rooted in the people, organizations, and partnerships that strengthen our communities.

Our story began in a 12-chair barbershop in Buffalo's Iroquois Hotel, where the success of Wildroot Hair Tonic led to the creation of the Wildroot Foundation in 1951. Today, as the Western New York Foundation, we continue that legacy by investing in the people and organizations that make our region stronger.

As we celebrate our 75th anniversary, we're inviting nonprofit leaders, trustees, community partners, consultants, volunteers, and friends of the Foundation to share a story about a moment that made a difference.
